This lid comes with a Silicone Ring Seal which is replaceable. Jar ring is epoxied into the wooden lid. Canning Jar is a 1/2 Pint and is wrapped in a polymer clay that has been baked and sealed.
These wooden lids turn your jars instantly into show pieces that you are proud to show in your kitchen, office or workplace, and are perfect for storing dried goods like nuts, beans, herbs, etc. The threaded lids fit standard mouth canning jars and are tested to insure they fit. The lids have been hand turned then burnt using a Shou Shugi Ban technique to bring out the wood grain on the maple they were made from and then finished with a food safe polyurethane to give it the shiny finish.
Recommended for dry ingredients only.
Not to be used for actual canning but can be used to replace the metal ring after cooling as an accent to a gift jar full of goodies.
